Laurel believes in meeting clients where they are and utilizes a systemic approach to gain understanding of their story. Her goal is to make clients feel safe, welcomed, and heard as they navigate the trials of life. Because she has truly seen the opportunities for growth and change, she considers it a privilege to sit and share this season of life with her clients.
Laurel has over a decade of experience with counseling adolescents and their families through alcohol and drug issues, as well as the adolescent justice system. Laurel continues to work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families through issues such as anxiety, depression, conflict resolution, trauma, self-esteem, addiction, life transitions, and communication.
Laurel graduated from William Carey University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2011. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Mississippi and is trained in EMDR therapy.
In her spare time, Laurel enjoys reading, exploring nature and watching Disney movies with her daughter, Mila.
